I know I've been horrible about updating... sorry!

Lately life has been intense. Everything about it. Friendship... intense. Work... intense. Sleep deprivation... intense.

So much is changing. It's all so exciting, but nerve wrecking at the same time. I'm one who always wants and dreams of changes, but once I start seeing it happen I get very nervous.

I've backed out of the townhouse I was buying. There are just too many things I want to do with my life right now that I have no idea how I could handle the commitment of a mortgage.

I figure that I am barely 23. If I want to travel, do school or (heaven forbid) act my age --- now is the time to do it. I just feel trapped lately. Too much on my shoulders. Most 23 year olds are still in their "Crazy, drunken College Kid" phase... and I'm tired of having no spunk or flair because work has sucked the life out of me.

My job is a burden and a blessing in one. The company itself is amazing. They treat their employees with respect and appreciation. It provides me with the funds necessary to live the lifestyle I want, but it neglects to give me the time off to enjoy it to the fullest.

Burden. Blessing.

I always wish I could just act like some of my friends, though. Just so carefree. They are so content making minimum wage-- living pay check to pay check. I can't function that way. I don't know. Maybe I'm too high maintenance.

I thought going on vacation would give me the break from work I needed to help my motivation, but instead it made me realize how amazing it would be if I didn't have to work! Ha ha... so, quite the opposite from what I was wanting. But, it was certainly needed. That's for sure.

St Thomas was absolutely beautiful. Really there was nothing to do except lay on the beach... which was fine for me. I really enjoyed having nothing to do but lay around. The scenery was so gorgeous.

I just keep trying to enjoy the little things... like purchases. Ha ha... stop rolling your eyes at me. I love shopping and it really does make me happy, so that's all I need in life. Like, I just made a new purchase today... a fabulous new watch;

But, yeah... I've decided to keep myself happy and entertained this summer, I am going to do a lot of new things. Things that I've never done - never wanted to do - never even THOUGHT I would do. I don't have many specifics, but I know I'm going to do a lot. If anyone has suggestions, let me know!!

Early February was my Mom's birthday and every year we go bowling for her party! It's always really fun because all the cousins come and she gives out trophies (because she is adorable).

So, my best friend Ashley and I have decided that we want to go on a trip together. We're buying our tickets tomorrow and I LITERALLY couldn't be mores excited.

We are going to leave September 1st and come back September 9th.

Amanda, Jessica and I had a Girls Night on Wednesday. It was so much fun! I really just loved seeing the girls again (especially Amanda since she is about to pop!)

First we went to get our nails done. The girls got pedicures and I got a manicure...

After, we went to eat at McGrath's. The food was delicious! I got some yummy shrimp... mmmm!

It was a great time! We ate good food, gossiped, made fun of our psychotic meth-head waitress... everything you need to have an amazing evening.

If you want to know the story of my life, you will go to Barnes & Noble and buy this book.

I just finished it last night and I LOVE it. It actually kind of creeped me out, because I feel like the author was writing it about my life. From the big dreams, big jeans, to big mormon-freak.

It's a memoir by Elna Baker. It's all about her struggle to fit in and find herself without losing her faith as a single Mormon in Manhattan. Although I never lived in Manhattan, I did live in Wisconsin and it was hard enough trying to fit in and keep my faith there. I know my friends love me no matter what, but it's difficult to have no one understand what or why you believe certain things.

So, like I said... if you want to get to know me better, you can read this book. I promise you it's a funny, inspirational read.

Scratch my last post.

Through my amazing con-artist ways, I have convinced everyone to go to Disneyland with me.

We've changed our original plans, so now we will be driving. It costs our trip in half. The only problem is, I need to ask for 1/2 day Thursday off. I'm sure it won't be a problem... and if it is I will just work something out.

Anyways, we've made our hotel reservations. So, it's super official. I'm very excited!!

So, one of my favorite bands Cory Chisel and The Wandering Sons just came out with a new album today "Death Won't Send A Letter". I haven't heard the whole thing yet and my itunes isn't working so I can't buy it right now.

But I don't know the last time I was this excited for a CD.

The first time I ever heard them, I had just landed in Milwaukee to visit friends. Ashley, Wai, Liz and I went to this CD store to see one of Wai's friends. While in there, CC&TWS were playing a small set. There were probably 10 people listening.

I was immediately infatuated. Their sound is so emotional, so deep and I went into this phase where I was living the music. Not many people were really paying attention to the music, but I was IN it.

When their set was done, I found their CD and went up to them to basically praise their talent. Both Cory and Adriel were the nicest, most down to earth people. They thanked me profusely and it felt so genuine.

The CD Store was very small, so I kept bumping into Cory while I was looking at other CD's. Every single time I saw him, he thanked me again.

There's something about musicians like that. It's so easy to be conceited when you know you're amazingly talented, but when you aren't... people are so much more impressed with you.

Needless to say, it's very easy for me to love them.

To this day, I can put on their album "Cabin Ghosts" and I'm in a trance. Nothing else matters, I'm feeling, walking, breathing the music. Any band that can make me escape life that much, deserves to be one of my favorites for life.

It also doesn't hurt that Cory is not at all bad to look at...

Today has been ridiculously unproductive. I haven't done anything... that's right... ANYTHING.

Yesterday was such a fun day... I think that's why I'm so bored today.

Yesterday I went to visit Jessica at Nordstrom. She did my make up and it looked great!!

So, that's all I have to say about shopping.

I seriously can't wait! I love them and haven't seen them live for over a year. That's ridiculous!!

Then, my cousin Jenni and I have attempted to plan a mother/daughter weekend trip. It would be me, my mom, Jenni, her mom (my Aunt Linda), my cousin Pieper and her mom (my Aunt Jo Ann). We would all go to Disneyland on October 15th and come back on the 19th. I already asked off for work and am ready to buy my ticket asap.

I'm a little frustrated because no one is really telling me if they can go or not. My Aunt Linda is going to have to wait until tomorrow to know if she can make it for sure and my cousin Pieper hasn't gotten back to me either. My Aunt Jo is trying to see if she can get out of a wedding to go.

Honestly, I'm going either way. My mom said she would go and I'm pretty sure Jenni would be down no matter what. So, I'm excited either way. Halloween is just my favorite holiday so I am excited to see Disney all decorated in Halloween stuff!!

It's going to be awesome. I won't be too excited have to work 4, 10 hours days... 2 weeks in a row. But, it will be more than worth it.

Well, I suppose it's about time that I get up and do something before it's time for me to go to bed. Haha.
